I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with fantastic Cajun cuisine and lively music! My favorite dish is definitely the Louisiana BBQ Shrimp, especially when paired with the fillet. I always make sure to order a side of red beans and rice, too. Plus, I really appreciate that they serve Abita beer! View all feedback.
Delicious!. I arrived at Taytro at 12:15 and was immediately greeted and told wherever I want to sit. I chose a table in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen doors. The waitress (it was 2 on the ground this afternoon) took my order on iced tea and left me with the menu. I looked at her menu online before I arrived and knew I wanted the shrimp pool boy. I also based my order on the recommendation of a co-worker, food and critique. The waitress took my order at 12:20 and at 12:37 the sandwich sat before me. Seventeen minutes were not disturbing because there were 2 or 3 tables with several people per table, and their orders came shortly before mine. The sandwich was delicious. It came with many well seasoned and cooked shrimps along with salad, tomatoes, and a spicy citrus chipotle Mayo (I had to leave them from the pimples). The Mayo had the right amount of kick to bring the sandwich together. I chose the chips as a side, and I'm glad I did. They were hot and crisp. The season was phenomenal! The waitresses never left my glass of tea long empty and they did a great job throughout the 75% full restaurant. I am very happy about today's visit to Taytro and I want to go back!
The real deal. I stopped by here on a whim the other night and had a great dinner. The folks at the bar were friendly. Heather, behind the bar, makes a first rate martini. At her recommendation I tried the red beans and rice which were excellent. I also had the BBQ Shrimpalya which was delicious (and it's not a BBQ flavored sauce, more a rich, cajun gravy). Spices and seasoning were great. Even the side salad was really good. I would definitely come back again.
Looking for a nice change, This is it!. We eat out entirely too much were looking for a change, Taytro's is it. Glad we heard about if from friends who really liked it also. We went on Saturday for dinner, I'm glad we got there a bit early because it filled up fast. (we got there 5:45) They had live music also that was great, he kept it at a reasonable volume too so we could still talk. We had alligator bites that were ok, but the wings the Jambalaya were great. The food was a bit spicy, but nothing crazy. I'm sure they'll be happy add some cayenne to make you breathe fire if you request it. The staff was spot on, our waitress was great. I haven't see a hostess work that much in a while, she was seating people helping buss tables, it's just good to see. They have a full bar with a good selection of beer, we were very surprised to see they even had a decent wine list (for a casual place). My wife had a **** mary which was great. We are looking forward to going again when my appetite is bigger, ! want to try the crawfish etouffee. We will be back
Get the wings!. All the food here is tops, but thet wings are the best around. They are a mix of sweet and a little bit of spicy hot. You can taste a small bit of honey used to give them the perfect sweet taste. Small place in a small town, but worth the visit if you are in the southern Jeffco area! You will not be dissapointed.
