Description
Set at a ferry landing in Whitianga, this family-run Mexican spot pairs lively, music-filled evenings and warm hospitality with standout dishes like huge nachos, churros and inventive cocktails. Service is consistently friendly, with plentiful outdoor seating and parking. However, food quality and portion sizes can be inconsistent—some guests praise flavorful tacos, mole and burritos while others find bland preparations, skimpy guacamole/salsa and tiny, overpriced margaritas. Great for casual nights out, live music and family visits, but expect occasional culinary hits and misses.

The food here is fantastic, and the iced coffee is the best I’ve ever had. The service is beautiful and friendly. If you're looking for good value for your money, the meals are definitely worth the ferry ride over.
I had a great experience here. It's the only place we could find that serves coffee without having to go to Whitianga. The coffee was delicious!
A café with the perfect atmosphere. The whitebait fritter was cooked to perfection, and the coffee was excellent.
Great service and even better food. You must try while in Whitianga. A Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
