Cooked
Description
Set at a ferry landing in Whitianga, this family-run Mexican spot pairs lively, music-filled evenings and warm hospitality with standout dishes like huge nachos, churros and inventive cocktails. Service is consistently friendly, with plentiful outdoor seating and parking. However, food quality and portion sizes can be inconsistent—some guests praise flavorful tacos, mole and burritos while others find bland preparations, skimpy guacamole/salsa and tiny, overpriced margaritas. Great for casual nights out, live music and family visits, but expect occasional culinary hits and misses.

In addition to delicious dishes that taste like real Mexican food, the drinks were refreshing and pleasant, the atmosphere was cozy and the customer service was very good. The band for the Day of the Dead was great, everything was great, highly recommended. Kid-friendliness: Delicious dishes for children, in addition to ice cream, churros and other desserts, the children enjoyed the face painting on the Day of the Dead. Service: Dine in
