My wife and I were visiting the area. Wanted to have dinner out, so reviewed the list of Fernie restaurants and decided on Nevados. We were seated on the patio and had margaritas to start. What User doesn't like about Nevados:
My wife is pregnant and after hours waiting for our reservation, asked to the hostess about our booking. The response of the hostess was that “she “supposedly” had sent a message letting us know the table was available ” which of course , never...happened, we never got any message!!, she made us wait two hours and she did not care after that. Not sure what these people have in mind but nothing related to common sense... View all feedback.
My daughter took us to this restaurant. We got to taste many yummy plates. Cornbread, Mahi Ceviche, Pork belly bites, Arriz con camarones, yam and chorizo, taco platter, tres leches and flan dessert. Everything was excellent.
This was our second visit to Nevados while staying in Fernie, and it was just as good as the first time we went years ago. I can't wait to go back again. My son said the beef tacos were the best he's ever had,...and he's Mexican on his Dad's side! Everything was delicious and service was wonderful!
Food was amazing. Waitress was great too. Until the end where she seemed in unimpressed with her tip and made a passive aggressive comment. Didn’t appreciate that and made the experience less enjoyable.
Checked this spot out today. Service was good, they had some tasty beers on tap (try backhand of God). We tried the pescado, pollo and Cali burritos which were all excellent, but could have used a bit less of the cabbage (we all found it...a bit overpowering) and more protein. Nicely put together and grilled. We also had the nacho fries which I wouldn't order again as they were shy on toppings/sauce. Still a star visit!
Open for the late lunch n Dinner crowd .... we were there on a gorgeous evening. Seat yourself outside at well distanced tables that could easily accommodate Place your order at the window n get called when your drinks and Then order...is ready... Burritos were huge, hot and given in a large brown bag ready for take out if you wish... or sit at an available table. Battered fries were also super yummy. Doing a good job in these unsettling times. ... keeping this fantastic restaurant going.
