Exceptional local pub with fantastic atmosphere, great food, reasonable price, good beer and very good service. Our host Mickey went above and beyond; friendly, helpful and thoughtful. An excellent experience and pub, which we’ll return to soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ordered food that would even feed the starving. Never seen or had such meagre portions anywhere else, than here. Menu photos are a complete joke. Miserable staff woman couldn’t be more miserable and robotic. Lunch time. We will never return to The Angel Inn, Longham, Wimborne, Dorset. Be warned you are paying quite a lot of money for literally nothing. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Lunch
Hadn't been here for many years and was very pleasantly surprised, good choice of tables, clean and tidy Inc the toilets, large food portions which were delicious topped off with an amazing service from Selina and her team which made my dad's 85th birthday lunch a really lovely experience, thanks to you all xxx. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Dietary restrictions: Checked on several occasions if any allergies Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Kid-friendliness: Was a table close by with 3 young girls which you did not even notice were there as well entertained colouring
The server was outstanding, deserving a gold star! The drinks were overpriced - £3.25 for a half pint of IPA and £6.45 for a glass of wine in an unmarked glass, making it difficult to gauge the quantity. The food prices were high for typical pub fare. The chili was good, but the chicken and bacon salad had tasteless chicken covered in a thick, hard coating. The portions of ice cream were small and not filled to the top with scoops.
