What User doesn't like about Thai Spice Cafe:
Service was nice but the food was lacking. The chicken in our dishes had a strange texture and was more than likely precooked or out of a package. Flavors were average and have certainly had better. Hopefully this was just an off night for them and not the norm based on the previous reviews. View all feedback.

My family and I visited Fernandina Beach on vacation from Virginia. We enjoy Thai food and have tried many restaurants in Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere. We are all vegetarian, so we usually call ahead to check which elements we can actually order. We came to find Thai Spice Cafe to be a cozy, clean and welcoming little restaurant. The hostess at the front counter was friendly and helpful, and we were sitting immediately? No waiting time. We were quickly approached and given our drinks order. The order and payment is made at the front counter, not by speaking to your server. The menu is wide and descriptive. Many decisions for everyone. I gave our order and was surprised how fast the food arrived. Portion sizes were just right for our family. The best part of the meal were the aromas and spice levels of food. My wife and children agreed that this was some of the best Thai food we had experienced for a long time. The food had exactly the right level of ?kick? to improve the flavors without being overwhelming. The server checked us several times and refilled our drinks. We ate everything and left the restaurant very satisfied. We will definitely return to Fernandina Beach on our next trip. It is recommended to try Thai Spice Cafe if you like Thai food.
The place is fairly basic, but the food is OUTSTANDING and the staff was courteous and very knowledgeable about food allergies, as I have to eat gluten and dairy free. We?ve tried many Thai restaurants, and this made our top 2! We had Panang Curry w/Shrimp (GF, DF) and Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Highly recommend!
Take out Pad Thai took 5 minutes and was super duper spicy just like asked! And oh MAN is this tasty. I had to take a break from the spice to post this, will be back for more!!!
If you want authentic quality thai I'd suggest going elsewhere. The red curry was disappointingly bland, simple and watered down. The thai iced tea wasn't even good which is honestly impressive. Good service and atmosphere but I'll be returning back to my tried and true Ahan Thai in yulee (which is cheaper too! .Food: 1/5
