The staff was friendly and pleasant.Pizza was disappointing. The crust was thin and crispy, which is what we love.The sauce was too sweet, which we do not like. My breaded eggplant topping was dry and flavorless, and my husband's sausage was average, nothing special.One of the biggest red flags for us was how dark it was in the dining and cooking areas. The pizza at Moon River Pizza is fantastic! We had pizza at another restaurant (recommended by friends) and it doesn't compare to Moon River Pizza. I would highly recommend this place for a date night, family outing, or just for yourself. Be prepared for a wait, but the large portions make it worth it. The pizza is delicious and I would urge anyone in Amelia looking for pizza to choose Moon River Pizza above all others.
I love the delicious food made with fresh ingredients at this restaurant. The large, crispy toppings make it one of my top choices for pizza.
The restaurant has great food and excellent service, but it is always very busy. We went on a Friday night, so we were not surprised by the crowd. I would definitely return when I am in town again.
