I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and the food was simply amazing! It truly evokes the warmth of southern home cooking. I can honestly say it was the best pork chop I've ever eaten! I can’t wait to come back for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Now that my vacation is over, it’s time to get back on my diet! What User doesn't like about Island Bq Fernandina:
Zero flavor. As a group we tried the pull pork sandwiches, corn nuggets and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was bland and had pieces of cartilage in it, the corn nuggets were bland, even the Mac and cheese was bland with overcooked mushy pasta. How do you ruin Mac and cheese? We ended up putting most of the food right in the trash it was that bad. The fries were ok...so that's something. View all feedback.
Take out bulk bbq was great, preferred the pulled pork to the briscuit which was a little fatty for my taste but that is prob due to that particular cut of beef. Slaw and fried okra were really good as well.Food: 5/5
