The selection, ambiance, and service at Espana are consistently highlighted, with reservations recommended for larger groups. Diners recommend trying the seafood dishes and tapas, with standout dishes including the paella, mussels special, and escargot. Overall, Espana is recommended for those seeking a charming atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service on Amelia Island.
The restaurant offers top-notch service and high-quality food from start to finish. We enjoyed a delicious salad and tried some tapas. The blue cheese and tomato salad was outstanding, and the standout tapas dishes were the escargot in a creamy garlic and tomato sauce, as well as the pan-seared Calamari steak with capers and olive oil. The restaurant also boasts a wide variety of wines and beers to choose from.
This restaurant is so charming and comfortable, with delicious food and a great atmosphere. My only suggestion would be to have a nice net on the terrace to prevent leaves from falling on the tables and food. Regardless, I will definitely be visiting Fernandina city again to spend more time here.
This restaurant was a pleasant deviation from the typical steak and seafood spots you usually come across at the beach. Our group of four all enjoyed appetizers. The shrimp with curry was fantastic, as was the escargot in a tomato cream sauce. Two of us ordered paella, one with seafood and one with meat, both excellent choices. The curry shrimp also made for a satisfying full dinner. I will definitely return if I am in the area again.
I absolutely adore the atmosphere at this restaurant. The wait staff is always fantastic and the food is truly top-notch. Espana is a fantastic culinary addition to the community that I love. The Spanish/Portuguese cuisine is amazing! I especially enjoy the tapas, as they allow you to try a variety of dishes from the menu. The wines, beers, and sangria are all excellent as well. And when I'm craving paella, this is the place I always head to.
One of the best meals I’ve eaten in years. calamari steaks with balsamic and capers was unique and delicious. Fishermen stew was a 10
