Very good.. I recently enjoyed two excellent breakfasts at Doo Wop. Eating is well cooked, inexpensive and servers are prompt and polite. Maybe the best breakfast option on the island. View all feedback.
Best breakfast in town. We visited the Doo Wop Diner for breakfast and it is always busy and the staff is so courteous. Your balls are the best. I picked up friends and family from the airport in the morning and the first place we're going is Doo Wop. Everybody loves it. They love the decoration of the 1950s. We recently went to a 65. Birthday party in Doo Wop. The place was very clean and the servers were candy. They were so courteous. We felt like a family. Elvis was there to make things even more fun!!! Thank you to the staff for everything you have done to make the night perfect for the birthday boy and his family friends.
Liked The Place. As a resident I have more than one occasion to eat their and have always found the food to be very good. Sometimes service can be slow especially when lots of tourists in town, but what restaurant isn't. Waite staff is very personal and checks to see if everything is all right. Give them a try and you can actually watch re runs of Happy Days : Rick
Open In New Location. The Doo Wop Diner Is Open On Amelia Island Next to the Theater on S 14th ST 1120 S 14th Street. Great Food , Desserts and Ice cream.
Best Breakfast on Amelia Island. I am shocked to see what some people have written here. Many of us who live on Amelia Island eat breakfast and lunch here regularly. The place is always crowded and I have never once heard any complaints. There was a time when service was a bit slow, it was a while back. I am wondering if the person responsible for the slow service was fired, and has encouraged or written the nasty things I see written here. I just had a private party at Doo Wop. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the owner couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. The same is true of the help. I have been in this diner at least two dozen or so times, and have never heard anyone being rude or loud or disgruntled.
Sunday 's lunch special. Fried chicken and two sides. Enough said.. almost feel guilty getting out of church to indulge in fried chicken. As for everyone else 's comments, everyone has an opinion. Don 't let anonymous comments stop you from trying something. I eat there once a month, generally Sunday about noon, and it 's pretty packed inside. I 've never had a problem like described except the time I had to initial my ticket because I ordered a medium rare steak, but that 's likely the Health Inspector liability lawyers hard at work for that. As for the burger was square, obviously frozen comment- uhhh Wendys has a square hamburger that claims is fresh.
