Very good farm in the Ibleei Mountains, with retail outlet. Minimal environment, but essential and clean. Cortesia, competence and kindness of the owner who made me taste excellent Sicilian cheeses. Despite my passion and age, I discovered at least two local cheeses unknown to me. To try and taste the Luna Piena cheese from Their described as: Molded ibles Flowered crust cheese produced with whole cow's milk from the precious pastures of the ibleo plateau, produced with pasteurized milk and strictly artisanal processing process. The cheese comes with a flowered crust of white/grey colour due to the development of moulds of the Pennicilium candidum type that give the product an almost creamy subchrost and a structure tending to soft, with a delicate and full-bodied taste. The fantasy name comes from the circular shape and color conferred by the molds, in its full maturation, which make it similar to a full moon. The place is a little off the main routes, but the products are worth the trip. Unique small stud note: charge the irresponsible cost of vacuum bags!
