I’d been wanting to come to Cod’s Gift in Dural for the longest time, for it has a reputation for having some of Sydney’s best seafood dishes. View all feedback.
This venue’s location is quite secluded in the small shopping centre in Dural. Don’t let it stop you from visiting though. As a matter of fact, you have to pay a visit so you can experience what I experienced.<br/ Came for early Sunday dinner with my family, we were absolutely astounded with the quality of the dishes. From the entree, main to dessert, every dish was beautifully plated, sophisticated and wonderful in taste.<br/ The dishes we had and loved:<br/ Scallops, Pork Belly, Gnocchi, Lobster Donuts, Duck, Tempura Prawns, Coffee Panna Cotta, Poached Pear and Chocolate Mousse.<br/ I loved everything as every dish had complex flavours with the perfect combination of textures. If I had to pick my favourites, it has to be the Pork Belly, Lobster Donuts, Scallops and Coffee Panna Cotta.<br/ Highly recommend!<br/

This little gem in the hills surprised me. Booked a table for 6 for a birthday. The staff were amazing and accomodating. I couldn't thank them enough. They really made the evening pleasant.<br/ <br/ We ordered some share plates which were the sashimi and prawn tempura. Both were delicious and hit the spot. Ordered our mains which were the snapper and fish+chips. We devoured all our dishes.<br/ <br/ I'd definitley come back here. Loved the staff, food and ambience.
Out of a couple of hundred venues I dined at in 2017 Cod’s Gift came in at Number 18. It was an endless supply of food that was being presented from a master in the art of plating, and then the flavours matched the plating skills. Dural demands a day trip peeps!
Cod's Gift is a restaurant focused on sustainable sourced seafood in Dural in Sydney's north west. The interior is beautiful and lush, with velvet, brass and marble featuring heavily among the blue and green tones. The menu is definitely not your standard fish and chips fare. We started off with half dozen of the Sydney Rock oysters from Merimbula in NSW. They were dressed with a Caramelised cabarnet vinegar with escallot and native pepper; and house ponzu with finger lime. The oysters were plump and creamy and I would have been perfectly happy to eat them with just a squeeze of lemon, but the dressings added an extra dimension to them.
