Upon our arrival, the pub was very quiet but extremely welcoming. The food was outstanding for the price, and we had the pleasure of meeting some locals who made our evening memorable. It may not be the liveliest pub, but the landlady, landlord, and staff went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic night and would highly recommend the food. What 791rubyv doesn't like about Butchers Arms Inn:
Went for a family meal here last night really disappointed the steak was over priced and then the chips was fat and frothy in side the stir fry was not good no mention it being spicy the short rib we had better home made at Christmas the prices was shocking for the quality of food would not recommend the restaurant but would recommend the butchers won’t be going back in a hurry. Called in her for a drink, found the hosts and customers charming and friendly. We will certainly be back to sample the food
Moved to the middle of nowhere a few years ago and found the Butchers Arms in down town Parson Drove, Cambridgeshire. Popped in with the misses because we were ‘Hank Marvin’. Opened the door, it seemed slightly dark inside! As we entered the lounge area, all the locals stopped talking and stared long and hard at me and my misses. “Hello” we said, “Stay off the moors” they said! Boom, my misses and me are now one of those happy locals welcoming strangers into the pub and telling them to stay off the moors! OK, let’s talk food. On the whole, the food is excellent with amazing flavours flowing from the meals carefully prepared by Chef Julian along with his misses Jan who can be usually seen hovering around the bar area. The steak meals are awesome as are many of other choices available. I’m going to say if you are around the area, and it’s open, pop in for some nosh! Oh – cash only I’m afraid, other than that bartering may be an option!
I visited this charming and welcoming pub on Friday night for a steak. The food was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for a delicious steak, this is the place to go. It was the best steak I've had in a long time. Congratulations to the Butchers Arms for a job well done!
