What User doesn't like about Safeway Liquor:
This safeway is reliable for one thing only with 2 registers open on every given day with 6 16 people waiting aaaaaaaaaaall the way down the island. Every time I ask, you have to open another register. I get the same skillful answer... We're sorry, it's just me and ___ now. It's 5:00! Most hours. Seriously, last time I've ever come here. For years (only in emergencies), as it is only 3 miles away from home. WORST Safeway I ever had to use it. Always. Today they had 3 Scheckers and I counted 23 people in the snake waiting to check. Forever and the Schecker I had spoken more than he checked!! I had my own bag and when I came out, I noticed he had charged me 25 cents for a bag. I went back and told the girl that I had my own bag and he accused me. I gave him my bag when I finally came to the register and he handed it over to her. The person behind me had a huge counter full of food and the checker said wait until I check him out and I'll give you a quarter. I said, are you kidding me? After a few other words, I just left. I don't care how desperate I will drive the extra 3 miles to Scotts Valley from now on! You need to replace the manager first.
This is a small safeway in the Santa Cruz mountains, so do not expect the bells or whistles of other major shops. That means I always get friendly service and the store is clean. It largely meets my needs. My biggest trouble is that they have no bakery here (I like my hot fresh baguettes! and the cellular service is bad, so if you want to use a deal from the Safeway app, you need to log in to their public Wi-Fi. I know they can't control cell service, so you just have to live in this mountain and make the best of it. Lines can sometimes be long, but this is something I experience in most safeway shops. Requisit to her manager who always seems happy to work and is often seen in the registers that help the lines go faster.

Please instruct your cashiers not to instruct customers on what order groceries end up in boost customer's bag. Customers are capable of figuring it out all by themselves. I did not ask for that help today and once again the grocer was attempting to do my thinking for me. Make sure you pass that along to Kelly.
