Five years ago, we have dinned l’occhiano, and my man and I look forward to our return! Finally we returned with friends. as before, Angela welcomed us as friends and prepared a delicious dinner. we enjoyed appetizer, fusilli, dessert, wein and homemade liqueurs. we enjoyed our meal in l’occhiano and our time with angela!

There were 3 of us, we had antipasto and fusilli al ragù. everything was absolutely delicious: from a refreshing caponata to the spicy liqueur. that was amazing. if they want to escape from the city, relax and eat delicious local food, this is the right place grazie mill.

We were staying in Felitto and because it was not yet high season, it was not easy to find a restaurant when we arrived. Thankfully, our host at rifugio del calore knew what to do and called Angela from l'Occhiano. Angela was just cooking the...famous fusilli with ragu and we could join. We were relieved we found dinner and our expectations were minimal. This would explain why we were a little ecstatic when Gino arrived with antipasti that tasted so fresh and pure. We got fresh cheese, prosciutto, salami and then he arrived with melanzana, zuchini, and a hot cheese dish. We ate this in Italy before but here you could taste this was fresh from the field (some vegetables were preserved or pickeled on the farm). We ordered a young wine that went great with the antipasti because of the sparkling freshness. The main dish the ragu was extraordinary... The pasta was as fresh as it gets and since we spoke very little Italian, Angela showed us how she makes it. We ended our meal with a little Figo, a liquor produced from their own fig trees. After this, we were in seventh heaven. Was it the wine, was it the hungry and desperate feeling when we arrived? Maybe. But it was definitely one of our best and purest eating experiences in Italy. Just try it to get what I'm saying here. The hospitality of Angela and Gino is a great plus. They gave us a map of the area and explained what we needed to see in the area. A big thank you!

Delicious. Very nice and heartful. With a very beautiful view

We had lunch on Wednesday and were the only diners. a little early. no menu only excellent no drinks eat: buffalo mozzarella, a bean and spinach spread, a rustic eggplant/cheese/tomaten lasagnanetti fusilli con rage and sorted biscuits with a beautiful house red....The view and the cook and the staff (the vater enriched the experience.
