I recently dined at Panera Bread in a different part of the U.S., and I can say that it was exactly the same experience.
I truly want to enjoy this place, but the quality has decreased significantly. The bread is stale, the tomatoes are pale, and the food overall is lacking.
The mango smoothie had some ice that wasn't fully blended, making it difficult to sip. However, the sandwich and soup were delicious.
The order mostly came complete, however, there were a few things missing; 2 sides of bread, chicken came on sandwich despite customizing it to have no chicken. Aside from this the food was very good!
The soup was delicious! The sandwich wasnt terrible but the fill was a bit on the skimpy side and I couldnt tell what was in it except for the chicken. I wasnt able to detect the other ingredients and flavors. The free shortbread cookie was wonderful. Unfortunately I didnt realize it was a soft cookie, and it broke into a million pieces, some falling on the floor. Best tasting shortbread Ive ever tasted, and the dogs enjoyed it too! That being said, I do love Panera and will order again and will try another sandwich.
