3 people told us about this place in as many days. Then a friend called us and said get up and come to breakfast . Glad we did. Awesome food and service. There was a wait, but o can understand why...it 's good and worth the wait.

When you say you?ll be back to take my order, and I?m ready to order and you don?t come back, there?s problem. We ordered the Hobo Omelette and the Shasta Scramble. The food was delicious with the exception of the cold, raw potatoes in the hash browns. It?s just this location that has issues as we?ve eaten at ones in California, Colorado and Texas.
Took mom for a birthday lunch because she was craving a chicken fried steak. She ordered the paw size which is a smaller portion and so did sister. They said it was delicious. I got brave and ordered a Chicken Fried steak Benedict. Very interesting meal served with Red Potatoes and cheesy bacon grits. Absolutely no complaints on that. Wife had Cobb Club salad with a side of buffalo sauce. (Something like that). All the food was fantastic, except dads. Not sure what possessed him to order what he did but it didn't go well for him. Very dry and cold. He didn't like the flavor either. Luckily the hostess did her due diligence to make sure we had a good dining experience. We're not in house complainers, I usually save it for the review. After quite a few questions regarding our visit, she was able to gather that Dad's meal was not quite up to par and removed it from the bill. I advised her it was not necessary but she was not having it. I was absolutely floored at the gesture and service. Will definitely be back to visit.
My husband and I visited for dinner 6/14. Juanita was our waitress, and she was so good. She just made us feel welcome. The food was delicious. My hubby had the chili cheese burger and I had the pot roast. The pot roast is huge so I took half of it home, so I could try the bread pudding. The bread pudding was an absolute unit. It would be good just for a coffee date on its own. The only other time we have eaten at a black bear diner was in California, and we are pleased that we have one in Fayetteville now. It's good diner food, and they really make you feel like family. However, they did play Deep in heart of Texas on the overhead music, which is sacrilege in Fayetteville Arkansas home of the Razorbacks. But since they are from California, I'll give them a pass. Tldr: food was big portions of yummy diner food at a reasonable price, and the staff are excellent. WPS
This place is amazing. Small town dinner feel for being a chain. Portions are massive and the price is great. Great flavor with allot of detail in every dish. Servers are very friendly and fast. This is the second location I've eaten at and it has been great every time.
We did dinner yesterday and breakfast today. Both meals were 100% homemade and tasted amazing. Bring a big appetite...lots of food. Slow cooked potroast was great with lots of vegetables cooked into the gravy. Sweet cream pancakes are a signature breakfast with thick cut bacon that is worth a visit.
