What PaulH doesn't like about The Phoenix Tavern:
Very nice pub. Went for Sunday lunch at 2 o’clock. Got there early so sat in the pleasant garden with a drink first. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was very good but very expensive. I don’t mind paying for quality but this was a tad overpriced. I haven’t rated any pub Sunday lunch experience more than 8.5 out of 10 yet and The Phoenix gets 8.5 as well. View all feedback.
I had the tasting menu, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was exquisite, and the servers were both helpful and knowledgeable. The chef even came out a few times to explain the dishes, which was a nice touch.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Everything was delightful.

Had an enjoyable lunch visit, food was good if a bit pricey. Service was excellent, very pleasant and efficient.
This is a beautiful restaurant inside out. Staff are first class and the food is even better. We love that it 's not your regular 'pub grub ' but if you 're looking for somewhere that 's a bit special this is your place. This is our second visit and will definitely be back.
