we really enjoyed our dinner there. had some nice eating (vegetarian and lamb) and good wine. the waiter was really nice and attentive, many spoke, but we had to wait minutes to pay for our dinner what really is. was annoying as the restaurant was not fully booked. View all feedback.
What Doriana Carneiro doesn't like about Adega Nortenha:
nothing special stood out here in the evening. mixed fish cataplana had no large amount of fish in it and some bones, vegetarian paella was ok, but a bit bland. offered brot for the table, but came without butter or oil/ginegar....The service was extremely slow, how empty the place was. there was a television show who showed the queue all night that no one was watching and a little distracting. Me and my Girlfriend had an amazing time at Adega Nortenha. You should order anything recommended by Lionel, the waitress. And as desert go for Sobremesa da Casa Food is pretty much what you would get home in Portugal.
Muito bem atendidos! Comi o melhor arroz de polvo na minha vida! Muito acolhedor e quente. Volto com o meu marido no mês que vem.
My father and I were in Faro in early November . We ate at this restaurant twice during our day stay. One night we had the bacalau and the other night we tried a cataplana . The waiter , Leonel , was very...discrete in his service but also very nice and full of special attentions. He cares for details and gave us a very good and amicable service ! The food was excelente and his service as well. But I would say that it was his service that definately made us go back for a second evening! He is a great part of our memories from this restaurant ! Thank you again from Ana and Roberto from Canada !
It was very quiet when we went off season and no other diners present. It seemed that staff were uncomfortable. Family/staff occupying tables that were unoccupied made the atmosphere a bit strange. However, the cataplana was better than expected and also the lagareira. On...balance, I don’t think I’d go again.
I am not picking up food, but this was the first time that I ate less than half of my food. I ate vegetarian paella and that's not the quality you should get in restaurant. And I felt bad in my belly we waited...really long and was not good at all. Do not recommend this place. And the staff was almost angry, it looked like we are for them and not they are for us
