The waitressing staff were attentive and pleasant. The food particularly the pork fillet, although tasty, was quite dry and had possibly been cooked for a bit too long. The stuffing inside was better. Looking round those people who’d ordered a roast seemed fared much better. And I’d go back to try the roast dinner. Great food . Noisy in both occasions as large tables occupied, Service, food and ambiance great and will go back, great local restaurant.
Mains were excellent, deserts great size but not as refined as main meal
The pub was very quiet on a Thursday lunchtime, which was a shame and obviously doesn’t help the ambiance. My food (the Mediterranean platter) was very tasty and I enjoyed it. My friend had a problem though in that she is seriously allergic to garlic. The waitress was very helpful liaising with the chef, but the bottom line was there were only 3 dishes on the entire menu for her to choose from, and 1 of those had to be “edited”. Apparently this is not unusual these days, but I was surprised garlic is used so comprehensively! The waitress was lovely, very personable and attentive, and the decor comfort was all good, so I would definitely recommend.
Delicious food and it was a lovely environment. We had 2 kids under 3 and as there were no other customers at that time it was a really lovely experience! The food was delicious!
Based on the food it is a mystery why the Foresters was so quiet on Saturday lunchtime! We'll be heading back with a larger group to give it another go soon.
