we went to Mother's Day and the menu for the day looked fantastic. the service was absolutely on the place and the food was to die. it is not the cheapest, but it is not extorting. they pay in a round for good quality eating. Absolutely disastrous experience. We made a reservation but were seated in a brightly lit room at the back of the pub, all alone. We ordered food at 6:50 PM, but were told the children's menu was unavailable because all the copies were in use. This was our second visit, and we enjoyed it as much as before. the food was especially the spicy pumpkin soup delicious. our waiter connor) was friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.
We had a nice Sunday roast at the Crown Inn. The service was friendly but it took a long time to get our food. The food itself was OK. Not bad but also not particularly great.
Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff and food was very delicious. Certainly will come back.
The Crown is a great country pub, with a good Sunday roast and a broad enough menu to keep everyone happy. We love the children’s menu, the board games we can get out, and the family-friendly environment.
Impressed by this 'small ' country gastro pub... A warm welcome from staff on a dismal autumn day... Friendly helpful staff and a tasty Sunday lunch... Lovely surroundings and although busy this did not distract from the friendliest of staff or the quality, presentation of the food... This is a must go back again place...
