Visited yesterday for my birthday and we couldn't fault the food or customer service. I was amazed when my 70 year old parents said it was the best Sunday roast that they have EVER had (and, believe me, they've had a few over the years! Not cheap, but great value and worth every penny. Thank you! View all feedback.
What AllisonR doesn't like about Bel and The Dragon - Churt:
The venue is nice in a lovely rural setting. The food is fine however overpriced. There was noting wrong with my steak and I have been four times as it is on my doorstep however after last weeks visit I would say it was average. This is such a shame as it could be so good. Take a visit to the Deers Hut in Liphook and compare the service. The staff can be polite but they are lacking in knowledge all round. Training is... View all feedback.
By far the best Italian on the island our ravioli was excellent the scallops fantastic appetizer my veal chop was perfectly cooked .
An amazingly-affordable Italian restaurant for a romantic date night with quality seafood dishes! As others have shared in their Yelp reviews, the scallops
Best food we've had on the island! YUM Party of 8, excellence all around! I started with the Burrata special- prosciutto, olive oil, balsamic=delicious.
Fish pie was over cooked and really very boring. Very little fish, a lot of dry potato and no sides. Glass of house white wine £12! Seems a lot for a casual, mid range restaurant. Overall, disappointing.
We have always been big supporters of the Bel Dragon. The ambience is really lovely and although the prices are high (for both food and drink), we have in the past had no problem paying. We booked to eat lunch in February when the Bel Dragon were advertising a two course menu. The manager only offered the A La Carte menu and seemed quite surprised (and not too pleased) when we asked to see the set menu. Food was very average. Overall disappointing.
