Contribute FeedbackDamon's BBQ, once a beloved culinary destination, has experienced a notable decline in both food quality and customer service recently. Diners have reported receiving dry meat, cold meals, and slow service, prompting a reevaluation of loyalty from long-time patrons. While some find the portions generous and pricing fair, complaints about operational inconsistencies, such as unavailable burgers and inefficient service during busy times, have surfaced. The restaurant's charming atmosphere and previous reputation for quality still attract some customers, but many hope for a revival of the high standards they once cherished. Improvements in kitchen management and service efficiency are essential for Damon's BBQ to regain its former glory.
The restaurant does not offer traditional barbecue items like brisket and pulled beef on their menu, but they do have filet mignon. They only provide a small cup of one of three sauces, rather than offering all three at the table for customers to try. The meat is not smoked but braised, resulting in a soggy, lukewarm, and bland taste. The portions of meat are small and the sides are unappetizing, with BBQ beans tasting like canned chili beans and the macaroni and cheese lacking real cheese flavor. The seasoned fries seemed to be frozen and overly salted. The service was also disappointing, with staff spending most of their time chatting and the waitress neglecting to check on customers or refill drinks. Overall, there are better barbecue options in the area and we will not be returning to this establishment.
The burgers were delicious and a good portion size, but unfortunately my order was incorrect. The manager kindly offered to fix it, so I will be returning to re-evaluate and possibly give a higher star rating. I am excited to come back and try more items from the menu. They fixed my order promptly and I highly recommend this place. The fries are especially amazing. Thank you!
I stumbled upon Damons BBQ by chance while exploring another establishment. I was feeling peckish and Damons did not disappoint. My meal and drink came to $20 and provided a generous portion of food. I wasn't sure if I could finish my plate, and I'm a big eater. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5.
We come here every now and then because the meat is of good quality. We recently visited for lunch and ordered a couple of burgers, only to be informed that the grill was not in operation due to the heat and the cooks would be too. We found this quite amusing. The service was for dining in and the meal type was lunch.
Make sure to start your meal with the pretzel, it is delicious! Both my partner and I opted for the two meat combo, with chicken being our first choice. The chicken was tender and moist, and for our second meat, I chose spare ribs while he went with the pork - both were really flavorful. We both enjoyed the mac and cheese, it was well-prepared. My partner tried the Wild Slaw and loved it, while I went for the cucumber salad which was also very tasty. We sampled both the sweet and original sauces, and found that we preferred the sweet sauce. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and we left feeling very full as they give you a generous portion of food.
