Granite City Food Brewery - Fargo

Had a pass that soon expired, so this evening stayed by my wife. I ordered a large glass of the northern to begin the dinge, followed by an order of grilled salmon. the salmon was cooked exactly as I like it so that many moisturizing and taste in the fish (see picture). the manager stopped at our table during the meal to ensure that we were satisfied with the food and service. Avoid the chicken pot pie. It was not cooked at all. Literally just melted butter with a few veggies and chicken. However the rest of our food was delicious and the costumer services was excellent.

Waited for our food for an hour, watched multiple groups of people come in, order, get their food, eat,and leave before we even got our food. And not even an apology or a reason. ..why? Steak someone at my table ordered was ordered medium, came completely cooked. Prime rib sandwich tasted really old and was tough The Asian chicken salad had more mayo and sauce than vegetables. And don't even get me started on the fact that it had only 6 thinly sliced pieces of chicken! I can get more chicken in a 4 piece chicken mc nugget. Fries were pretty good tho.... +1 star Food was below average for the price. I've been to 3 different granite cities now and they all fail in so many ways. Would not recommend ever.

TLDR: Food was good but service was very poor and the manager was inflexible. To start, I rarely have a bad experience at Granite City, so this was unfortunate to say the least. My wife and I stopped by to catch a last minute happy hour and the fish fry. The bartenders were relatively attentive, but that was only after I sat for a while and was finally noticed. After tabbing out my wife and I got a booth and ordered a burger and the all you can eat fish fry. While at first I felt bad for the server, who clearly was flustered and overworked, the service only seemed to spiral downwards. She rarely stopped by our table, even though it was not even remotely a packed house. It took about 25 35 minutes for our food to come out, which luckily was tasty. After I ate the two fish included, it took far too long for each following plate to come out, which was only 1 piece at a time. On a minor note, they also kept forgetting tartar sauce that would accompany this dish. However, when it came time to pay for the bill, that is when the problems only got worse (As some background I told her before we ordered that I had a BOGO entree coupon). I told the server I had a BOGO entree for my birthday in the app. She told me to hit redeem for the BOGO entree and I wrote the code down for her. Then she told me that neither of our items qualified for the bogo entree meal coupon. She said that the only items that qualified had to come from their small section of the menu titled entree So even though neither of our items were specialty items or appetizers, they were unable to honor this coupon. I then asked Ok, since I already hit redeem and can't use this coupon, can you just give me a paper copy of this coupon so that I can use it for next time She said no, because I had already hit redeem. She also said that the manager refused to take any discount off of the total for this mistake and told us that the manager essentially said Too bad, once you hit redeem there is nothing that they can do for us Long story short, the food was good but it makes it hard to want to return due to the service and how the manager was inflexible in such a minor issue to their bottom line. I know who the manager is, but out of respect for her privacy I will not name her publicly.

We came for what we thought we be a nice dinner on a Monday night but sadly it was pretty disappointing. Our food took a really long time to come out, and when it did the burger was way over charred and the steak was charred to a crisp but somehow still really fatty and red. The busboy was the best of service we received, when my son spilled a drink and he was more than helpful cleaning it up. Unfortunate because we have been to granite city in other states and remember it being much better.
