84 Italian Steakhouse - Fargo

I had my first experience at this restaurant last night, and it was absolutely incredible. The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional. Our server Dee-Jay was attentive and on point from the very beginning! Thank you, 81 Steakhouse, for making my Friday night fantastic!

I had eggs, toast, and fruit one morning, and oatmeal the next. The service was outstanding on both mornings. The restaurant opens at 6:30 am, and I appreciated the lovely views out the windows even before dawn. The portion of oatmeal was quite large, so I’ll definitely ask for a smaller serving next time.

To add to the frustration, there were numerous issues with our credit cards and payments. My $40 bill got switched with someone else's $200+ bill. Although they corrected it quickly, if we hadn’t caught the mistake, I would have ended up with a $240 charge. It took us an additional 40 minutes to get our checks sorted out, and at that point, people were ready to leave cash and walk out. Despite us expressing our dissatisfaction, all we received was some half-hearted apologies, and they seemed indifferent to our complaints. I'm not usually one to ask for discounts, but after a night filled with errors and a visible display of our frustration, we expected more than just apologies. It’s clear they don’t care much about customer service. I definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.

The atmosphere and menu were fantastic. I visited just four days after they opened, and I was impressed by the excitement surrounding this new downtown restaurant, even for a seasoned team like theirs. I can't wait to go back soon!

Really surprised at how diverse the wine list was you almost never see a Vouvray! Had a nice cheese plate, too. Fast service, nice ambiance.
