We were given paper menus which had old food on t... read more We love coming here but have noticed a decline in the previous high standards, which are easy to be addressed. We were given paper menus which had old food on them and did not look very clean. There needs to be new ones printed, then laminated to keep them clean. I was also astonished to see a member of staff come out of the larger toilet without washing her hands. This I knew because she opened the door as soon as she flushed. Also there was no way of drying hands in that toilet, but her hands were completely dry. In addition, as above, there is no way of drying your hands in that toilet, resulting in either touching the door with unwashed hands, or with wet hands if they are washed. Neither option is hygienic. Another annoying thing is that a service charge is added before being told how much the bill is. While it is followed with this can be removed , I consider this to be unacceptable.

The menu could... read more The restaurant has beautiful views and is located right next to a scenic walking path. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the prices are a bit high. The menu could use more simple options for younger children, like tea cakes or basic dishes like chips with melted cheese. Additionally, the dessert selection is repetitive and it would be nice to see more variety, such as chocolate cake or cookies.

We had brunch a... read more During our winter walk, we were tipped off by a dog walker of this lovely little spot. It’s cosy, extremely friendly and the food was delicious. We had brunch and coffee, both gorgeous. The setting is peaceful and relaxing with binoculars on all outside tables so you can check out the local views at your leisure. We have been back several times since and intend to be regulars from now on as we really look forward to our visits. The staff are a great bunch who make you feel very welcome.
