At Black Forest Taphouse, diners can bask in a cozy atmosphere adorned with a lovely patio while enjoying a diverse menu. Signature dishes like the Jumbo Bavarian Soft Pretzel with Beer Cheese and the delectable Rueben sandwich garner rave reviews. While some entrees may fall short, the appetizers consistently shine, with highlights including Oktoberfest Chili and flavorful soups. Service is generally attentive, though occasional lapses have been noted. With reasonable prices and a welcoming vibe, Black Forest remains a strong contender for both casual visits and special meals—especially for those in search of authentic German cuisine.

I forgot to post this last night. We had dinner at Black Forest last night. The food was excellent. I ordered the Unique Greek salad, which was amazing. My husband had a Rueben sandwich. He has had many Ruebens before, but he said that Black Forest's was the best he has ever had. This is high praise coming from someone who is difficult to impress. If you enjoy ciders, the cherry cider is delicious. Our server, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely be returning to Black Forest in the future. Service: Dine in.

The food here is delicious! We had the Rueben skins, escargot, onion soup, mixed greens salad, and black and blue burger. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavored very well. The beer selection is great. Highly recommend doing a flight. The service was also stellar and started with a warm greeting as soon as we walked in the door. We will absolutely be back! Kid-friendliness: My 2 y/o son was treated well and enjoyed eating off of the regular menu.

We didn’t have a hard order a burger, chicken fingers, etc. but everything was either wrong or subpar. Really dark tenders, wrong sides delivered, a Shirley Temple that was barely pink, and the pierogis were Mrs. T’s. I mean, if you’re a German restaurant and you’re not making your own pierogisthat’s an issue. Might be a nice place to have a beer and pretzel but I wouldn’t come back for more than that. Service: Dine in
