Went here for lunch on a weekday, so it was not busy at all which I love. My family comes here to eat whenever we go to Eden. We got a bun mang vit and com tam bi suon cha. They came out pretty quickly. Loved both dishes! So delicious! Make sure you dip the duck meat in the ginger sauce, soooo good. The duck meat is nothing without the sauce that it comes with. What Tam T doesn't like about Pho 89:
We (Vietnamese) were in line on Labor Day and there were some tables available, but we understood that the staffs were very busy so we patiently waited. Of note, the party before us (white) were sat promotly (even though their full party did not show up). As we were waiting, a party (white) cut in front of us, not realizing what they did. The staff attended to them immediately and was about to sit them to one of the... View all feedback.

I recently dined at Hai Duong, and while it was a generally positive experience, there were a few let downs.I ordered the seafood noodle soup, and while it was tasty, it was a bit too salty. My dad's soup, on the other hand, was too spicy for him to fully enjoy. The highlight for me was the texture of the Pho noodles, which were thin and had the right amount of chew. The service was quick. We were seated right away and the waiter took our order. You go up front to the counter to check out after eating.Overall, Hai Duong offers a decent dining experience, and I would consider returning but only if I also combined the trip with the bakery at Eden Center. Be warned, the parking situation at the Eden Center can be a nightmare on the weekends... took me 15-20 minutes of circling to find a spot.
Honestly one of the best pho broths I've ever had- one of the good ones where you never have to add anything- even the basil seems too much- it's that good!!
7/30/23Today I ordered #26-Banh Xeo (Vietnamese golden crêpe) and 3 orders of the #3-Cha Gia (aka Crispy Spring Rolls). There is a certain look to the Crispy Spring Rolls I had in mind and several of them I saw had the golden brown look, but not the style I had in mind.I have been to Hai Duong before and my wife has too. We were here before and the experience we had here was pleasant. The owner of the restaurant remembered us from years of absence. Nevertheless, he greeted us warmly and I also had the strong feeling the Crispy Spring Rolls would still be made in the style I was looking for.My hunch turned out to be correct. The Crispy Spring Rolls were delicious. Even during the 15 minute ride home, the smell of the food had my mouth watering. I will be sure to order more of these at a later time.
This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area when visiting friends and relatives. Everything is always super fresh. My only complaint is the menu is so large I have a hard time making a selection. The Bo kho (beef soup) is hard to beat. The flavors are perfect. The cabbage salad is also outstanding. Last night I had the 37, the noodle bowl with everything, and it was amazing.Did I mention I have eaten here three weeks in a row?
