Was Antonio Hernandez Martinez at Clipper a mag?
Great authentic Portuguese food.. You can't go wrong here. I'm not an octopus fan, but my father is and he loves the oven roasted octopus. Other friends also love it. I like the seafood, always fresh. Some of the desserts are home made, I always got for those. Well worth the trip. View all feedback.
What Maciek Kolodziejczak dislikes about Clipper:
The clams had a gritty texture and the garlic cloves in the sauce were undercooked. I ordered the tuna medium-rare, but it came out overcooked and dry, resembling wood. While the service was good and the portion sizes were generous, it couldn't compensate for the lackluster food. View all feedback.

My wife and I hadn't been to The Clipper in thirty years. We both wanted a Portuguese meal and they were open and didn't need reservations. The tables were well spaced. My wife had the steak and eggs and it was a nice sirloin in a spicy gravy. I had the shrimp Mozambique. The sauce was very good with a lot of garlic. The French fries are hand cut and very good. We both enjoyed our meals and will be back much sooner.
One of the best places to get a fabulous Portuguese dish, never a bad meal and service is great .....you have to order the Spanish Style Octopus!!!

The authentic Portuguese cuisine here is incredible, and the service and atmosphere are exceptional. This restaurant is truly outstanding!
My wife and I had not been to The Clipper in thirty years. We both wanted a Portuguese meal and during this Covid time they were open and reservations were not needed. We had the Portuguese steak and eggs and shrimp Mozambique. The French fries are hand cut and very good. The steak is a nice quality sirloin and my shrimp were on a garlicky Mozambique sauce (not as spicy as I remember). We both enjoyed our meals and will be back much sooner.

I brought my wife and her parents who had just arrived from California two hours earlier. This was, in a nutshell, an awful Tuesday night dinner experience...
