Reviews - Mannerstons
Reviews summary
Mannerstons is praised for its hearty, well-prepared food and bright, welcoming dining space. Guests frequently highlight breakfast favourites — full Scottish breakfasts, porridge with compote, and scrambled eggs — as well as a tempting selection of cakes and afternoon-tea offerings. The cafe’s adjacent farm shop and gift area add to its charm and give visitors extra reasons to linger. Service reports are mixed: many diners experienced friendly, attentive staff and prompt service, but several reviews note slow or disorganized service during busy times, including long waits and the need to chase orders. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, making Mannerstons a popular roadside stop with ample parking, though it can be noisy at peak times.

Visited for lunch. Ample off road parking. Nice open dining space in natural wood. Good quality food. Quiche and cakes.
Located conveniently on the A904 with ample parking, we stopped by this well-liked cafe for a quick snack. Choosing from a wide array of cakes, we decided on a scone with jam and clotted cream, as well as a mint tiffin. While both were satisfying, we have certainly had better elsewhere. Our total bill came to £13.70 with the addition of coffees. The service was efficient and the staff were professional.
My dining companion and I enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant, consisting of porridge with honey and berry compote, scrambled eggs with granary bread, a cappuccino, and a tea. The food was very flavorful and served promptly by the attentive staff. The restaurant is conveniently located by the roadside and also has a farm shop.
Just wanted to say my afternoon tea at mannerstons today was amazing and good value for money. Bright ,clean and friendly well worth a visit. We will be back.
6 of us went, not shown to our table, I was told it's that one there, it was at the back, took a while to take our order, I understand it was a bit busy, when order came we had to get someone's attention and ask for crisps for child's order, chips that were ordered and sauces, after mains waited about 20 minutes and had to ask for someone to take dessert orders, by this time it was quiet, everyone enjoyed the food but service was very slow

I took my mother for the first time here for lunch. beautiful building inside and spotlessly clean. the personal was friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. Even if it was to be done, we were served quickly by midday, but didn't feel like we were running to end. we had the chicken and avocado salat (see picture) and it was absolutely delicious! salat leaves were super fresh and that was boiled to perfection. we'll be back soon.
Caffe with a building market style business. next to a garden center, so they only need one place. gluten-free sandwiches, cakes and scorpses. a set of changes in the normal menu. fair prices. the personal is amazing. they sold freshly baked to take home. decor is clean, clean and rustic. beautiful visit Definitiw a trip worth. the tables are very close together, but for summertimes outside.
Wonderful eating in kitchen type environment. sandwiches are excellent and there is a wonderful selection of traybakes and cakes. the shop has a lot of quality products. not cheap, what kind of building? nice to treat yourself to some special items while it. the staff is very efficient and friendly.
