A very helpful member of staff or maybe manager explained the menu for us as our French is non existent. Food was great and service brilliant. Highly Recommend

La Rena... read more To break up our motorway journey from Cherbourg to Montlucon, we stopped at Falaise. It was about 14:00 and many restaurants were stopping serving food. La Renaissance was still open for business and you can see it is a favourite with the locals. Simple menu available on the boards, but enough choice for all tastes. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They made sure our pet cockapoo was well looked after with water and dog treats. The food is very good value for money, traditional French food and very good quality. This is definitely an address to keep!

Well the welcome was superb, t... read more On a Monday with very little choice in town we went here with low expectations. Melamine tables, blackboard menus, but very busy. Well the welcome was superb, the menus short but varied and ultimately the food excellent, simple fare. My wife and I had a ham and cheese omelette with chips and sala, son had the favourite chicken nuggets and chips. With a couple of glasses of cider it all came to €34. Great value and just what we wanted.
