Nestled in an upscale marina, Alacena Bistro and Market offers a remarkable fine dining experience that blends local cuisine with gourmet flair. Diners can indulge in a seven-course tasting menu crafted by Chef Rafael Alamo, featuring inventive dishes like Yellowtail Yuzu Citrus Sashimi and Pumpkin Gnocchi with Grilled Lobster. We absolutely loved the service, and the food and desserts were amazing!
We were on vacation/ I made reservations at the one in Canada by accident! Thankfully they had full service and a spot open at the bar. Our bartender was excellent and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend!
Easily the best dining “experience” in Fajardo.. and maybe one of the best I’ve ever had period. This should be booked solid at all times but it’s still a secret. If you like tasting dinners, it’s criminal to pass this up.
My husband and I visited the place for the first time. Food was outstanding!! We chose the 5 course menu at the wine cellar. Chef Rafael explained every dish in detail. His bakground as chef is remarkable. My only recommendation is to lower the salt level of the short ribs course. Service was awesome!. Overall it was a great experience! Will definitely return to this restaurant.
We had the 7 course tasting menu , we asked to use the wine cellar room .. but we were only 2. They obliged and we had a great time. The wine paring only works if you have 4 people .. but we had the sommelier help choose our wine and the chef introduced each dish. The room is quiet , can be completely isolated with blinds. The restaurant is in their market and it sits within a gated marina. Great experience , local PR food but elevated. This was a gourmet meal. Expect to spend 3 hours for dinner which was fine for us since we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. 5 stars. Luda the manager served us and Rafi was the chef.
