Reviews - Front Range
Reviews summary
Tucked into a cozy, mountain‑lodge setting, this neighborhood café mixes curated music, seasonal lattes, iced drinks, pastries and a solid breakfast menu with craft cocktails for evening visits. Patrons praise the atmosphere, ceramic mugs, free refills and a welcoming spot for remote work or lingering. Drawbacks include inconsistent drink preparation, high and unclearly posted prices, limited kid‑friendly options and occasional chilly service. Best for adults and coffee aficionados seeking ambiance and specialty drinks rather than families or budget-minded quick stops.

The Mattie's breakfast items really make the place. I had a burrito. Nice mountain theme—even in the WiFi password. But I'm not going to give that away; you have to go there to find out. I think I also spied a Scholars Bowl medal (with a djinni or genie lamp on it) hanging from the horn or antler of a mounted head. Not the bison; the other one. A deer? I don't know whether it was real. View all feedback.
What Beatrice Sawyer dislikes about Front Range:
This shop is so close to our house, so we come here about 2x a month for a couple years now. We want to love it. The drinks are inconsistent. The other day my large cappuccino was a latte, I told the barista and was informed “it’s the same thing here”. The staff is usually not very warm nor welcoming, if the quality of coffee drinks was better I would let it slide. Over all it’s just always a slightly disappointing e... View all feedback.

The restaurant has a cozy, cabin-like vibe that makes you feel right at home, and their drinks are sure to warm your spirits. They offer a range of options, from classic hot espresso drinks to creative cocktails. Everything I've tried, and what I've heard from others, has been delightful, but their espresso martini stands out as a perfect blend of flavors. Be sure not to miss their seasonal drinks and the collection of board games available at the front!
I absolutely adore this cozy spot! The service is incredibly friendly, the coffee is fantastic, and they offer an extensive selection of alcohol—perfect for those who enjoy day drinking without any hesitation.
Outstanding service in a warm and inviting coffee shop setting! The espresso shots are expertly made, which I truly appreciate. It's a fantastic spot to grab a quick shot or relax for an hour like I do on weekends. They also offer a nice selection of craft beers on tap, albeit limited.
Front Range is a lovely little café located in a fantastic area! It's part of the Made in KC coffee community, which supports local businesses by providing them with a marketplace. They offer the same delicious drinks but also feature a bar with alcoholic beverages and a cozy camping atmosphere. I was impressed by the decor, and the friendly barista was eager to share insights about the business with me. My friends and I enjoyed our drinks and the service was excellent, including complimentary stickers to show off to others!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the KC area hands down. The cafe is essentially a cabin in the middle of Fairway. Between the log beams and the cozy vibes, I couldn't have felt more at home to settle in and do some light work and reading. I ordered the Mountainccino and had a good time drinking it. There is a full bar so that is a plus too! I look forward to visiting again!
I adore the lavender lattes, seasonal drinks, and monster pastries! Cozy little coffee shop that I’ll need to stop by in the evening to try the cocktail bar/menu!
Warm, cozy coffee house that turns into a bar at night. The coffee drinks, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and cocktails are all great.
Friendly staff and fun, National Park outdoorsy cabin atmosphere. We usually get coffee to go, but there is a few tables inside and outside to dine in. Their coffee drinks are always delicious—solid assortment of classics and flavored drinks. The waffle breakfast sandwich and breakfast burritos are both good! Their cocktails sound tasty too—but we haven't been there besides mornings, yet. Excited to come back in the evening sometime to try the other side of the menu!
