Starbucks - Fairview Heights

I can't provide too many details as it was a quick visit, but I can say that the restaurant was nice and clean.

Is it really worth waiting in line? This is the question that every person who goes to Dieucks asks. I wouldn't normally come here, but I'm only doing it because my little brother loves it. I'm hoping that the expensive and delicious-looking drink I ordered will be worth the wait. The barista seems friendly. This place is always crowded and popular. If I had the choice, I would prefer to go to Shiloh in the Target location instead, as it doesn't seem as busy there every time I visit.

I went to Starbucks at this location today and ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato. The barista layered all the ingredients without mixing the coffee. Because I was in a rush, I didn't realize until I started drinking and I was quite disappointed.

Probably the best thing about going to a Starbucks within a Target is how fast everything happens. I was even cut in line cuz I was too busy looking at my phone and reloading my card and I was still out of there in 5 minutes tops. And it seems like they have all the same stuff here that they have at the branch so if you're by a Target that has a Starbucks that will probably be your best bet to get what you need and get out quickly

The cold brew at this restaurant sometimes misses the mark, and they often get my order wrong. It's frustrating that they can't seem to get the toppings or syrup right for their drink combos. The wait time for drinks is also longer than expected. Sometimes my hot drink is barely warm, while other times it's scalding hot. I'm not sure if this is an equipment or employee issue, as there is no consistency. I now prefer going to the location at Barnes Noble, where they always get my order right. Even something as simple as a Starbucks hot white chocolate mocha or cocoa seems to be a challenge for this location. The food here also lacks freshness, with bland and inconsistent pastries. Surprisingly, the pastries at Barnes Noble taste better and fresher. It's unclear why there is such a difference in quality between the two locations.
