Great service and food!
The quantity at Yo Sushi was incredible for the price, and the rolls were absolutely delicious. We ordered five rolls and an appetizer from the menu for about $60.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience here. I visited Yo Sushi on a Saturday, ordered two rolls, and ended up waiting an entire hour for them. I understand delays happen, but it would have been helpful to receive a warning about the long wait. My partner and I were at risk of being late for an event because of this lack of communication—no updates or estimated wait time at all. When our rolls finally arrived, they were disappointing. Honestly, I’ve had better-tasting sushi from grocery store takeout. My beef teriyaki roll was especially underwhelming: it didn’t look like the picture, was missing ingredients, and the beef was bland with no noticeable teriyaki flavor. My partner’s roll was equally lacking in flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, or perhaps the quality has declined recently. Either way, I won’t be returning. Save your money and grab sushi from a grocery store or Walmart—it tastes the same, if not better. Or better yet, head to the City or Sacramento for genuinely good rolls without the long wait.
This is usually my go-to spot for sushi, but this time I placed an order online for pickup. When I arrived and told them about my order, they couldn’t find it at first. After a few minutes of searching the system, they located it and said it would take a few more minutes to prepare, which was fine. However, when I got home to eat, every roll was falling apart, and the shrimp tasted off. Now, I’m just hoping it doesn’t make me sick. I really hope the new owners or management can bring it back to the quality it used to have.
The Lion King roll and karaage were perfectly seasoned and cooked. However, I’ve noticed that the food quality tends to vary between weekdays and weekends. The dishes seem better on weekends, although it’s also busier then. Despite this, I’ve consistently had positive experiences with both the service and the food.
