Aside from the soup heaters being out of order, my experience at Panera Bread was fantastic. The service was prompt, and the food from their menu was delicious.
I appreciate the contactless ordering and the calm atmosphere of the dining area. It's a great spot to get some work accomplished.
If you're planning to try the "Take" spicy chicken sandwich, you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. I understand that restaurant food often doesn't look like the ads, but this was particularly frustrating. The sandwich contained hardly any of the advertised "fried pickles," as shown in the picture of what I actually received. The salad was messy, and the tomato still had its stem on it. Additionally, the grapes in my fruit cup had dirt on them. When I showed the girl in the back my sandwich, she was quite rude and tossed a small handful of crushed fried pickles into my sandwich as if she were annoyed. Management really needs to address how food is being prepared there. I suggest driving a bit further to the Panera in Vacaville instead.
This Panera Bread location definitely needs to hire new staff. I love Panera, but I've never experienced service this poor anywhere else. My favorite soup tasted watered down and lacked any flavor, plus the bowl was noticeably dirty. The sandwich had only one piece of chicken on it. I also paid $3 for a small cup of unripe fruit that had just a few barely edible pieces. Panera isn't cheap, so disappointing customers like this is unacceptable. Keep in mind, there was only one other customer in the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all, and most employees were just standing around.
I placed an order online for delivery through Grubhub, and none of the items were correct. I ordered a salad, along with a half sandwich and soup, but instead received broccoli macaroni and cheese and a salad. Thankfully, Grubhub credited my order, but it was disappointing that Panera didn’t verify the order before sending it out.
