I recently had an unfortunate experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield Hotel Suites. My stay took a turn for the worse due to a serious incident in the bathroom that resulted in an injury, and the staff's response was far from helpful. While taking a shower, I stepped on a loose drain cover that flipped over, causing me to twist my ankle and suffer a painful sprain. When I sought assistance from the hotel staff, their response was frustratingly slow. My fiancé had to make multiple trips to the lobby and even call for help. We requested a wheelchair, which we did receive, but there was no record of my fall in their system, and sadly, there was no manager on-site to address the situation. The concierge advised us to contact the manager using his personal email, which felt unprofessional. After the incident, I had to visit the hospital for an evaluation, which was incredibly distressing and completely ruined what was meant to be a relaxing getaway. This incident has raised significant concerns about the hotel's maintenance and safety standards. Clearly, proper maintenance and regular checks are essential to prevent such dangerous situations. To make matters worse, I’ve yet to receive any follow-up from the hotel or corporate offices regarding the incident. I plan to take further action, and the DoubleTree will be hearing from my attorneys. I strongly advise against staying here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant after a full day of driving. We were not keen on leaving the hotel for dinner, and this place was perfect. The dim lighting, delectable food, and excellent service were exactly what we needed.
I had the beet salad with salmon, and it was excellent. On another night, I tried the chicken wings, which were fantastic. The breakfasts are really good as well. The service was friendly and attentive.
Sat down and was quickly greeted by Tina who was very attentive. Had the roasted beet salad and the fig and prosciutto flatbread. All very delicious and fresh. What a treat from a hotel restaurant!!
We have now stayed here two different Saturday nights and both times there have been large gatherings occurring where people are NOT wearing masks and Covid-19 protocol was NOT being enforced by staff. On top of being unsafe and putting others in harms way, the group was very loud and was running through the halls yelling until midnight both times. While we liked this hotel before, we will NOT be returning. The 8 am knock on the door by cleaning staff wasn't too pleasant either after being kept up late the night before by the dangerous, unruly guests.
