Some of the best RIBS ever and ivy eaten them all over the country, great medium BBQ sauce, it had a nice after burn, but not too hot. The Cole slaw and beans were really good and the Cole slaw was super good. We'll be going back! View all feedback.
I always frequent small hole in the wall restuarants. If I wanted the same old hamburger, I know where to go. This place was a nice surprise. True, ambiance isn 't there but the food and service was GREAT. I ordered the 'small ' order of prawns. The to-go box container barely closed. The prawns were fresh and the breading was great. Ya, a little pricey $13) but well worth it. I 'd go back!
So my wife I are always looking for a fantastic authentic American BBQ joint which is almost impossible to find these days. Well we've located our haven in C J's BBQ Fish. The service was fantastic, the 2 gentlemen who worked there were very pleasant the food was out of this world. I ordered the 2-way chose pork ribs chicken with mild sauce which comes with 2 sides as well (we both ordered fries BBQ baked beans) for $21. My wife ordered the small catfish nuggets which was $14. Now I know the prices may seem high to some (who don't usually frequent BBQ establishments) but it's really not considering we both had enough left over for an entire 2nd meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in search of authentic high quality food. Next time we go we plan to try the peach cobbler some cake. (Oh almost forgot, we also ordered 3 hushpuppies for $1 they were extraordinary as well. We were extremely pleased).
Definitely a backyard BBQ ribs, pork and chicken making place. Great ribs. My plate with a coke cost me $18. It was the regular plate and it's a good portion. Sadly enough the flies don't help the ambiance. Next time I'll do takeout.
This place is right outside of Travis AFB. It looks kinda seedy, maybe not totally kept up on both the inside and outside, but wow. The food is definitely worth it, some of the best bbq I've had in a while. Not overly cheap, but the portion sizes are GENEROUS, and absolutely delicious. You can tell that they take pride in their food, and I'll definitely be going back.
