henhouse is closed for business! opentable took and even confirmed my reservation for a restaurant that has closed! I don't know if it's the fault of henhouse or opentable, but very embarrassing and irritating experience. edit: I would delete that if I knew how. henhouse reacted directly to me and treated it brilliantly. they take care of their call and their customers. Henhouse has made some real improvements since its opening. the service was friendly and professional and the beer is really good. the bratwurst and the hamburger got really good reviews from my man and son, but the kartoffel skins were inexplicably landing. I hope they add a few more beer pub type items and we will be back
Have to admit, we were big fans of the old Iron Springs so we might be jaded but not impressed with the change. We were a party of 4. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't something you would go back for. The portions I would say were on the smaller side. It is a brew pub with a menu that is trying to be upscale. I thought the menu was rather short. The prices were on the high side but the ingredients were very fresh and high quality so that probably explains the prices. New expanded out door area is nice.
I am a fan of Henhouse and was eager to try this new space. It is nice enough and I will likely return. My medium rare burger was pretty rare which I don’t mind per se but shows a hurried or careless kitchen. Also the burger came with some veggies that were not mentioned of the menu and were quite spicy.
Enjoyed our dinner- chicken was delish! Definitely will come back again.
They have made great progress since opening a short while ago and it's so great to have a dog/bike/family friendly enterprise with outstanding beer back in this space!
