The food at this restaurant is exceptional. The fried chicken is the best I've ever tasted and the service only enhances the experience. I would describe the food as lukewarm or cold, but still delicious because it seemed to have been sitting out for a while before being brought to our table. The lobster bisque soup had a film on top, likely from sitting, but still had a good flavor. The crispy Brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious. The loaded tater tots were just okay. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. The restaurant is in an open area of the lobby and there was a loud party going on next door, so there was a limited amount of privacy.
We had a reservation for 11 am, got there and they said the kitchen closed at 10:30 am. It wasn't really clear from OpenTable that this was a hotel restaurant, which wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing but it would have been good to know because it didn't really fulfill our needs. I don't know why OpenTable (or the restaurant) let us make reservations during a time the kitchen was closed! Terrible experience. I'm not sure if OpenTable or the restaurant is more to blame.
The setting of the restaurant is unusual in that it is in a relatively open space in the front of the hotel. At first, we weren't sure that we were in the right place. The variety of dishes on the menu was what attracted us to try the restaurant in the first place and we weren't disappointed. The food was prepared well and had excellent flavors. The dishes were meant to be small, almost tapas style, but the price appropriately reflected that; it was possible to try a number of different dishes at a reasonable price. One waiter was very personable and helpful while another waiter acted as if he couldn't get rid of us soon enough. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be coming back.
The food was great! I had the chicken sandwich and the dry rub chicken wings! Really good!
My husband and I are finishing dinner at this restaurant....it was excellent! The food and the service....thank you to our wonderful waitress Patty...someone (the manager) checked on us twice...highly recommend if you are visiting from out town or from the area. I had salmon and you could tell it was fresh! Outstanding!
