Fenders - Fairbanks

**Parking:** The lot is quite spacious, and even when they’re busy, I doubt anyone would have trouble finding a spot. **Kid-friendliness:** The atmosphere is great for kids. Since it wasn’t crowded, there was plenty of space. There was a table nearby with several children, but it didn't disturb our experience. The bar area is somewhat separated from the dining area, which is nice. **Wheelchair Accessibility:** They have a chairlift for guests with wheelchairs to help them navigate the stairs, which I found to be a unique and considerate feature.

I stopped by for breakfast while visiting from Texas and tried the biscuits and sausage gravy, along with home fries and reindeer sausage. The gravy was a bit salty, which is notable since I tend to add salt to everything. Despite that, I had a great experience overall. I also ordered two drinks, and the bartender was kind enough to prepare them exactly how I wanted for some photos. Thank you!

Being from Pennsylvania (about 40 miles south of Philly), I had to taste the cheesesteak! I was not disappointed....it was surprisingly delicious (even with the shredded cheese). The sweet potato fries were amazing as well. If they had brown sugar on them...that would've taken them over the top. A few of my coworkers asked about the salt and vinegar fries, so the owner surprised them with a small sample of them and we all we amazed at how delicious they tasted!!! Next time I'll get the cheesesteak and salt and vinegar fries for sure!! What a delightful surprise. We asked a local where he would go for dinner if he could go anywhere. He said Fenders and it was superb. I had fish tacos and substituted Brussels sprouts for French fries. Everything was very flavorful. The Cole slaw on the tacos was crisp and the sprouts were a seasoned buttery delicacy. We even splurged and had a peanut butter and chocolate cheese cake. The only reason I gave atmosphere four instead of five is because the outside of the building did not draw you in or say come eat here. Terri was our server and she was very colorful with her responses to our multitude of questions. We would definitely eat here again.

Nice laid back beachy atmosphere in Alaska! We sat in the bar. They had a sign out front saying they were short stuffed and apologized for the wait...but we didn't notice any wait! Waitress was super friendly and spot on for drinks and apps! Food was great, try the salt n vinegar fries! Super good! Great little hang out spot!
