Met by a fairly obviously wo... read more Advertised as open until 11.30 and last orders at 10.30, we thought that 9.20 on a Monday evening would be fine. How wrong we were. Met by a fairly obviously worse for wear, “ tired and emotional “, woman in chef's whites smoking at the entrance who growled “chiuso” and on realising that we were English she added, “kitchen closed” dismissively. A passing waiter said the same. No apologies, no explanation, no politeness, no friendliness and really no point in us querying any of it. There were plenty of people eating in the garden and we present a pretty reasonable image. The food may be excellent....who knows and in our case, who cares. We did manage to eat elsewhere and on mentioning our encounter with apparently the owner of Ca’Murani our new friendly host laughed. She'd heard it all before.

Huge minus is when we asked for local wine of a house, but we were served by expensive bottled chardonnay from Veneza Giulia. It was delicious tough, but the only conclusion to make is that Venezia Giulia has much better wines than Romagna, that's what Ca' Murani wants to show us.

Mix up in orders of beverages and got the starter at the same time as the main course. Was the waitress drunk? Food was okay, though.

Being typically British couldn't understand the Italian menu. The waitress had limited English but we understood enough to know what we were ordering. What a delicious meal! Cold chicken starter with fresh greens, slivers of asparagus, cucumber, peas and beans with a drizzle of olive oil and pepper outstanding! Then to follow a timbale of aubergine, asparagus and cheese grilled to perfection. Lovely food, great wine and fantastic waitress. Can't praise this restaurant enough highly recommended if you're in Faenza!

Tripe ok draw a veil, was tough and rubbery, tasteless without the sauce and misery, raw vegetables specifically the beans, chicken croquettes 5 mini with few vegetables 13 € ?????? The two cakes a sweet almond a chocolate,flourless but if you do not do it professional and you take it melted away in the pot that looks like vomit and it's raw what do you think you run?? I asked for a liquor and what ??? you and bring 2 glasses and we are 4 and you give the second glass to the youngest girl of the group and also you only have a liquor that liquor is not really disappointing .... you brought us bread uneatable because hard as a stone or you said it's finished because we usually do a small amount mah .... the question is drunk manager unclassified waitress poor or horrible food small amount of bread and a bill of 33.50 euro each person... good job for the first place in the hell restaurants league Cominciamo dagli antipasti tortino ai funghi porcini ma se non lo condisci e se non lo fai come si deve lascia perdere che è meglio, passiamo ai secondi me li porti a rate siamo in 4 e aspettiamo 10 minuti per mangiare insieme poi spezzatino duro e stopposo e in porzione minima perché prevalgono le verdure. La trippa ok stendiamo un velo pietoso dura e gommosa, insipida senza sugo e per la miseria mi porti la verdura nello specifico i fagioli crudi, le crocchette di pollo fritte 5 mini con poca verdura 13 euro ma mi prendete in giro? Il dolce due torte una alle mandorle una al cioccolato senza farina si ma se non ti viene non portarmela squagliata nel piatto che sembra vomito ed è cruda. Ti chiedo un liquore e non sai cos'hai e porti 2 bicchieri su 4 e lo dai alla minorenne del gruppo e hai solo un liquore che liquore non è.... veramente deludente mi porti il pane immaginabile perché duro come la pietra oppure mi dici che è finito mah....
