this is a local hunt for the nightlife. I had the pleasure of being brought by some locals I met when visiting papeete. it had this wonderful carefree island vibe we landlords not often experience. the prices were in comparison to the tourist traps we travel to often judge. music and laughing filled the air. as well as the smell of evaporated wodka. tahitian dishes are crazy about someone who never drank alcohol like... What User doesn't like about Pink Coconut:
I visited before 7 PM, knowing I wouldn't be able to parktake in the dinner menu. I went with the Texas Pizza. It was rather greasy and the toppings didn't stay on the actual pizza, itself. I was not closely monitored by my host, which leads to me giving a 3 star rating. A decent place for drinks but I was not impressed with the food (albeit not the main menu). View all feedback.
Nice place right located right at the water front. Menu was extensive and they had reasonable prices. Food was good with respectable serving sizes. Had a cheese and seafood pasta dish. The prawns were not peeled. Service was ok, but don't go here if your are in a hurry. They take their time bringing you everything including the bill. We got the impression this was a place for locals and they really cater to them. They had a local band playing who was pretty good. This place could be really good if the service had been better.
A very relaxing spot to enjoy the sunset, a drink and a meal. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Cocktail hour is 6-7pm.

5:30 pm. We get in, and get seated. Beautiful evening, sun is about to set. Decided what to order. Time is ticking. Sun sets 30 min later and the waiter still hasn't come to take the order... Long story short, after over 40 min of waiting we managed to get our drinks (one was 2-3 stars) but decided against eating there. Do not recommend.

No, they only have vodka. everyone. single. flavor. they ignite the alcohol on fire and catch the gasses in a pint glass. if the bartender pulls off the glass, you have to spin the shot with a straw and then inhale the alcohol wing. yeeew.
