Restaurant Eden - Èze

In spite of a mix up over our reservation, the staff managed to make our dinner a very pleasant one. We didn't get a table overlooking the sea but still had a wonderful view. Service was overall very good, with one small exception, only one wine list, so we had to wait for another table to order before being able to order wine, strange. As a result our starters arrived when we were still drinking our aperitif which was a bit of a shame. The maitre D spotted that perhaps things hadn't been as expected when we arrived and quickly came over withe a glass of champagne on the house to apologise. The food was very good, I had prawns and lobster, both were excellent. Fresh, light and very well executed. In spite of some hiccups, I would recommend this restaurant. Beautiful setting, great food, a romantic setting.

Первое и самое важное, тут порции нормального размера!!! Ура! Мы дождались. Сначала, когда принесли "аппетитайзеры" мы слегла удивились, но потом все встало на свои места:)

We had an excellent dinner here. We had extremely fresh tomato salad as starter. As a main dish we both choce beef fillet and it was simply perfect. Recommendation of wine was also very good. Chocolate and strawberry desserts were the crown of stunning dinner. Service was very friendly but a little fumble. One child started to play piano and it took much too long to quit playing.

The food is very nicely and imaginatively prepared. Our visit to the restaurant--during our stay at the Chèvre d'Or--was marred by a large, noisy rehearsal dinner at the table immediately next to us. We couldn't hear each other talk. We asked to be moved to another, free table--with precisely the same view and ambiance but slightly removed from the merrymakers. Our request was politely but firmly declined with the explanation that the other table "has been specifically chosen by another guest". The table remained empty throughout the evening. We left after finishing our dinner and coffee and sat on the adjoining terrace. The same waitress who wouldn't move us came over to ask if we needed anything. We politely asked if the guests she was saving the table for ever arrived--knowing full well the table remained empty throughout the evening. To her credit, she offered us champagne and extra dessert in an apparent effort to compensate for her rigidity. At that point we were full and declined, but appreciated the gesture and the effort to correct what clearly wasn't the right decision at the time. The restaurant wasn't full and the wedding guests weren't rowdy by any means. We just enjoy a conversation along with good food and great views.
