**Dining Experience: A Mixed Bag** The restaurant offers a casual, lively atmosphere, making it a suitable choice for happy hour meet-ups rather than family dinners. While the beer selection impresses, service tends to be slow and inconsistent, leaving some patrons frustrated. Food quality varies; standout dishes like the pumpkin soup and certain salads shine, but others fall flat. The environment can be noisy, compromising conversation. Despite some pleasant experiences with friendly staff, many visitors report challenges with orders, wait times, and general organization. Overall, the venue is worth a visit for a laid-back brunch or drink, but improvements are needed to ensure a consistently enjoyable dining experience.
I was quite let down by my experience. We've visited Suburban several times over the years, always leaving with fond memories and delicious meals. However, this time, our appetizer of Pumpkin Perogies lacked any flavor, the Broccoli Rabe had an odd taste, the Ribeye was excessively fatty—almost half of it was inedible—and the Chicken Pot Pie resembled more of a stew and was just mediocre. On a positive note, the Pretzel appetizer was flavorful, and the cocktails were enjoyable. The restaurant was relatively empty, yet our waitress was often noticeably absent. Ultimately, we decided to go to another restaurant afterward because one person in our group couldn’t even eat her dish. Given the amount we spent on dinner, I was truly disappointed with the quality of the food.
I enjoyed the Tuna Poke bowl, and it was absolutely delightful! The variety of beers and drinks is impressive, catering to every palate.
Food was ok. with the exception of the Pumpkin Soup which was outstanding. Unfortunately our waitress was either new, or just had a hard time focusing. She was nice but not very attentive. The room was loud and not conducive to conversation.
It was as if they were still learning how to be a restaurant. Made a reservation on OpenTable and they were surprised when I arrived and weren’t sure if they could accommodate my party. Also no hostess stand so I had to look for an employee to tell them we’d arrived so during this time another party (without a reservation) was sat before us! We had to ask several times for silverware and napkins, and eventually got it ourselves!! Did get food we didn’t order, didn’t get food we did order, it was really ridiculous. Everything took forever as well. Will never return.
Place was mediocre … we had to keep telling the server to bring out our food and drinks. The food was just mediocre and pricy for what it was ,Nothing to write home about. They did have an extensive beer list which was nice. The atmosphere was decent but overall wouldn’t go back
