What Tom Oliver doesn't like about Duling Kurtz House:
Bad experience. The food was terrible. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food. We could not eat our meal as the food was ice cold. That shows me that our dinners were sitting there for a long time. When we asked what was taking so long we were told the kitchen was backed up. Our server barely checked on us. Beautiful ambiente, cordial greetings and service, excellent eating.
This was our first time at Duling Kurtz House despite living 10 minutes away from it for 20+ years. So glad we finally decided to go! It was beautiful inside and out, still decorated for Christmas. Our waitress June was wonderful and everything we ordered was delicious (rack of lamb, herb crusted shrimp scallops, beet salad, chocolate peanut butter lava cake). I had a hard time choosing what to order everything on the menu sounded so good. Definitely a more expensive dinner than we usually have out, but totally worth it. Will definitely go again.
We always look forward to dinner here. The atmosphere is just wonderful, warm and inviting. The menu is comprehensive, and the specials offered were over and above what you'd see on the menu and we love having the option to try something just a bit different than what's offered on the menu. Our entrees were just delicious, and I had the Octopus appetizer which was so good I could had more!
Had a wonderful birthday dinner at this nearby fine dining restaurant that we have been to frequently in the past. Our dinners were excellent. She had the short ribs with Brussels sprouts after her favorite onion soup. I had their Wienerschnitzel with Brussels sprouts and spatzle after a delicious butternut squash soup. We shared Prisoner wine from their collection and ended with a Duling-Kurtz House Cobbler. We were assisted by ever-attentive Amy who added fun to our experience by her over the top personality and love of her work at the restaurant. We highly recommend Duling-Kurtz for any special occasion or just a good night out!
Excellent service, wonderful drinks, and incredible food. Hats off to Gertie and the team!
