Love this pizza place, so I'm glad it's walking from my office. You always have good ways to get a slice and go, and the best white cakes I ever had with Gorgonzola cheese. Owners are super friendly, so definitely ask what is in the oven! View all feedback.
What Kristin Jenkins doesn't like about Anthony's Wood Oven Pizzeria Italiano:
Very disappointed with the overall quality of the pizza, especially considering that better alternatives are nearby for the same price, or even cheaper. Hands down the best and most authentic pizza around!
I kept a piece of pizza (which was delicious, as usual) and commented to the owners that what they were eating looked good. It was something they had done for themselves and were good enough for me to try. They definitely didn't have to do that, but it was very appreciated. I recommend checking this restaurant!
The pizza is notch! Great every time. It's expensive, but you get what you pay in this place. Never disappoint.
Very disappointed with the overall quality of the pizza, especially considering that better alternatives are nearby for the same price, or even cheaper. Ordered a cheese pizza, of which looked great appearance-wise despite being on the smaller side. However, the pizza was nearly flavorless, with an almost freezer burnt tasting crust. I suspect that they are cooking their pizza crusts in advance, and then building the pizza on top of them. This would explain the crust being dry and brittle, with the rest of the pizza not adhering to the crust. I did not see a wood oven inside the shop. I don't know if they are using a wood-fired oven despite the name saying otherwise. Also ordered a cheesesteak. This was a better product, but still not overly impressed with it.
