The server could've been more cheerful being it was the first hour even though English-speaking was a minimum he could've at least show customer service by smiling. View all feedback.
What Scott O'Brien doesn't like about Ramen-ya:
Ok service. Got my order wrong but was hungry so I ate what I was served. Food flavors got boring after a while. Too much!Gyoza was watery and mushy. Sweet tea was interesting. I wouldn’t go back. View all feedback.
Pros: service is good…they packed out to go order with a lot of care. Curry is decent. Cons: I had one order of beef curry rice and one of shrimp tempura curry rice. They put beef curry (with chunks of beef) in the shrimp tempura curry rice plate as well, thereby ruining my wife’s dinner, who does not eat beef. We also had gyoza and miso soup. The miso soup is below average…very salty and has a strange aftertaste. The gyoza were not good…they had a strange unexpected kind of flavor as well.
Tried tonkotsu ramen twice and it was the best I tried so far! Rich flavour, balanced amount of ingredients (huuuuge egg! . I wish noodles were a little more textured. But even if you take the order to go, noodles are still fresh, don’t stick together. Their gyoza are also amazing! 10/10
Amazing ramen with a friendly atmosphere, So delicious ? wife and the kids got seconds, highly recommended
If you're looking for a Japanese restaurant in Hawaii that offers ramen and katsu curry at reasonable prices, you should try this place. While there might be a short wait, it's usually not too long, and the place is quite popular. What's really impressive, aside from the prices, is the portion sizes—they are generous enough to leave you fully satisfied.
Very poor service. I'm not coming back to eat this place. Server forgot my order.
