Variety of salads, sunshi, deserts, fish seafood and meat to grill. Good service and atmosphere Recommend. Good value for money
The really good review cant be true. Whilst it has ample choice, presentation is beautiful, the waiters are nice, seems clean, and it is an ample space, the sushi is quite bellow average quality. The fresh sashimi was not spoiled, but unpleasant to eat. Too much mayonnaise or the wrong kind of it spoiled the sushi. My wife asked for grilled seafood and I could not eat it, it was beyond salty due to the cook abusing soy sauce. Tempura had some funny taste (mayonnaise again? . Also too many people for the space, and limited parking place (though it is nice having a private parking place and there is no shortage of parking space nearby . Our time was not bad there, despite the quality of food. The waiters were attentive, and our kid quite enjoyed the experience. We liked to know the place, but regretfully, do not plan to repeat the experience in Lisbon, where we lived, the food quality is better for that kind of money. The restaurant is neither Japanese or Chinese, but they must be doing something right to attract that many customers.
2022 Sukiya, Evora This Chinese-Japanese restaurant is located down the main road of Horta das Figueiras. It is located outside the Evora “Old Town” Walls. If you want something different than Portuguese food, this restaurant may fit your bill. We are amazed how “large” Sukiya is. There are literally 250 chairs and tables in this establishment. We arrived at 14:00 with an afternoon closing at 15:00. It is a buffet style restaurant and you serve yourself, as much food as you want, and as many times you would want. There is both sushi and traditional Chinese dishes. Unfortunately, by 14:00 all the barbeque pork was already gone. There were plenty of other dishes like “garlic shrimps.” We are not overly fond of buffet places, but Sukiya did justice to most of the dishes. Some dishes are better than others. There were a number of choices for desserts. We gravitated to the ice cream case and gorged ourselves with various assortment of flavors. We give Sukiya our “thumbs-up.” It was a nice find in a town that caters to mainly Portuguese foods. If you found this review to be “helpful” in any way, please leave a “LIKE” to let me know.
This is a very good all you can eat buffet in Évora. It is clean with fresh food, beautiful presentation and helpful staff. We will be going back soon.
Super fresh, super efficient and great prices! We found this restaurant on our one day trip to Evora and we saw customers having nice sushi platters outside. We sat down there for lunch and it was great. Staff was really nice, service was efficient and most of all food was great, flavourful and fresh. Prices are super worth it!
