This is a small very popular restaurant... you will need to book. We chose the tasting menu, wine included. It was a tantalising gastronomic journey. Small team, in a small kitchen serve big and wonderful flavours. The plates were served with explanation wines to tease our taste buds. Thanks for the journey book journey through the taster menu
Perfect in every way! Beautiful and delicious food, excellent service, and a charming, comfortable atmosphere! We chose the 5 course tasting menu, and it was awesome! Every dish was unique, and delivered! Wine pairings were thoughtful and matched perfectly! A nice a la carte menu is available, as are excellent wines for every palate. A great restaurant that should not be missed!
If we could rate this as even more than 5 stars we would! The service is exceptional, we were treated so kindly and courteously. The servers were also very knowledgeable and could speak fluent English. The beef tenderloin was the best steak we had ever eaten, the chef comes out with certain dishes and explains a little about them, this beef in particular was from a breed of cows that were brought to this area in Roman times. We were also shown a pamphlet about the meat after we expressed interest. Overall a wonderful experience…the food is phenomenal! The wine is amazing. We will make a stop here every time we pass through Portugal! When booking they asked if it was a special occasion which it was and the chef gave us a a complimentary dessert with a candle : Price wise it is on the higher side however that should be expected, for the quality of food and service you receive.
Great vegan and vegetarian options. Incredibly high quality all round. Excellent service and chill vibe.
Service and wine pairing were exceptional. I was somewhat let down by the food. My fish was a bit overcooked and seemed to be finished in the kitchen vs. freshly prepared (the skin soft, not hot), and the beef cheek that the waiter lovingly described as cooked until it was falling off the bone was in fact hard, dry and tough it needed several more hours of simmering. My husband 's beef was the same it surprised me that they must not have even tasted this batch to see if it was ready. We had far more flavorful and fork tender beef cheek at tiny country establishments for a fraction of the price. Definitely a quality control issue for this newer restaurant, but the restaurant is lovely, the service wonderful , and the wine pairing interesting and generous, so I hope they can achieve a more consistent quality on the food which really has to be the star.
