I was very satisfied with the food and service. The owner is a big guy and will try his best to communicate with you, but if you don't speak Portuguese (or Spanish), you have to rely on the pictures of their specialties on one of the pages of the menu: a small group of 6-8 dishes, they are all really delicious, so don't be afraid to go for one of them. Pro tip: Evora is located inland, surrounded by picturesque farming. You can find good seafood, but meat should always be your first choice.

We were with a private guide who brought us to this little gem for lunch, away from the main street. They did not appear to speak English, which to me was a goo... read more We were with a private guide who brought us to this little gem for lunch, away from the main street. They did not appear to speak English, which to me was a good sign. Our guide did the ordering. I know we had black pork with potatos, and two seafood dishes, all delicious. At the end of the meal our waiter brought us ginja(complimentary) . Very nice touch.

Even though t... read more We ate here twice, for lunch and dinner, during a 2 night stay in Evora. Food and service was fantastic. We especially recommend the dogfish soup. Even though the waiter couldn’t speak English he was extremely charming and everything we asked for was taken care of. The price was very reasonable for both food and alcohol. Definitely felt like an underated gem, compared to much busier places in tourist teapot parts of the town. 100% worth a visit!
